Both Bob and Cherie came to know Christ personally in their early childhood years. They were baptized in the Holy Spirit in the 1980’s.

Bob and Cherie chose law enforcement and the military as their career paths. During these years they witnessed many tragedies that life can bring. Their belief in Christ brought them through these times. They’ve served in the Assemblies of God Church in California and in Gig Harbor, holding leadership positions and serving in various ways as the Lord led. In 2008 Bob and Cherie decided that Zion’s Gate was the place the Lord wanted them to commit to and serve. They both now serve on the Zion Gate Pastoral Care Team and Bob is on the Board of Directors.

They stand strong in their belief of the teachings of the of the Word of God, the freedom that Jesus brings, the power of His death and resurrection, “His Kingdom come, His will be done on earth as it is in Heaven”, God’s heart and desire to heal the broken, hurting, sick and save the lost – working through His children. They love what the Lord is doing at Zion’s Gate and the family the Lord has placed there - a church that is community based with a global vision and reaches out to those that need the love of Jesus.

Bob and Cherie have lived in Gig Harbor since November 2004. They have three sons and two granddaughters who reside in California.
